Well, if you haven’t heard through the various social media outlets (or my mom), my wife gave birth to our second son on 11/9/11. His actual due date was today, and it would have been pretty cool to have a birthdate of 11/11/11, but the 9th is just as good
Levi Genji (pronounced Ghen-gee) was born at 12:49 and weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces. He was 18.5 inches long and mom and baby are both doing great. We decided to stick with our tradition of an American first name and Japanese middle name. The Kanji characters that my wife chose for Genji (弦侍) meaning “Guitar Samurai!”
We are all home now and actually still up with the little guy at 1:07am… He still needs to adjust to normal sleeping patterns. Dillon and Comiskey are adjusting well to their new little brother. D is a little timid still, but will walk up to the play yard where he is sleeping, point to Levi, and say “baby!” – it’s really cute Comiskey is his normal curious self and hopefully he will be as good with Levi as he was with Dillon!
I have a couple weeks off including the holidays, so it will be great to bond and hopefully get some sleep along the way!(Click on the image below to view as a slideshow in the lightbox!)
